Here come the haters

I know you're gearing up to throw your grandma's recipe book at us, but hold on!
Eat2Live wants to play a little game, instead of thinking of that deep blue box and cheap cost; instead of thinking about the slogans, let's look at it in a crazy "hippie" way.
Let's look at what your ACTUALLY eating. (Last we checked, "Kraft" doesn't grow in the wild)
INGREDIENTS:
  • ENRICHED MACARONI PRODUCT (WHEAT FLOUR, NIACIN, FERROUS SULFATE [IRON],
  • THIAMIN MONONITRATE [VITAMIN B1],
  • RIBOFLAVIN [VITAMIN B2],
  • FOLIC ACID);
Fortified means that a nutrient has been added to the food because during manufacturing it was removed, or it was never naturally present. They tend to be isolated nutrients that studies have been shown are deficient in our diet ie. iron. The problem with fortification is that the natural synergy of nutrients is lost with they are taken separately like this. What I mean by this is natural foods contain many nutrients that the body can easily recognize because they are in their natural state and therefore, you can easily digest and absorb. There are literally thousands of nutrients and phytochemicals that work together in a perfect state of harmony. When you isolate one, the body simply doesn’t recognize it the same way. Read More HERE

And fewer American dairy farmers mean fewer choices for consumers, who are seeing increasing amounts of MPCs’ new, unregulated protein source‚ in their food supply. Read more HERE

  • YELLOW 5, YELLOW 6, Today, tartrazine and other artificial food dyes require a special warning on food packages sold in the European Union. No such warning requirement exists in the United States, although tartrazine (or Yellow No. 5) is always identified on ingredients lists when used in packaged foods, for the sake of the estimated 1 in 10,000 people who suffer allergic reactions to the chemical.
