In the next 2 weeks you’ll be bombarded by cheesy ads for making “THIS year, YOUR year” “Lose 30lbs by Valentines” or “How to quit smoking fast” and my personal favorites, all the fitness ads.
Every body wants to lose weight. Everyone wants to know that mysterious secret to how Angela down the street never gains a damn pound. Everyone wants the energy. Everyone wants the drive. Everyone wants. Everybody wants.I want to be in a giant real life Willy Wonka factory and would love to strip nude and swim in the chocolate river, followed up with eating every gummy and eatable teacup and plate my eyes can find. Sure. But like children, we do not think of the reaction to our actions.
You want to hit Bad Driver Goober on his cell phone, but you know if you do, you’ll be in jail and that outcome is worse than the satisfaction you’ll feel. See where I’m going with this?
The same voice of sanity that goes off in your head there, needs to sound off with your food choices.
Your afraid to admit you lack the discipline You don’t know how to start, or where
You don’t have on going support after the inspiration ends
3. "I don't have time to change everything around"
And if the real world worked like that, you’re right, we DON’T have time for all that.
But that’s only how the marketing companies what you to think. You are a created customer of the pharmaceutical industry.
Change your actions, you change your life. It all starts with believing in yourself.
4. "I don't have the money to change everything and buy a bunch of stuff"
But who again told you that you had to?......Or was that just an assumption you made?
Waiting until we are ready means we will never be ready. Your desire for change needs to exceed your fear of it. You do not need to spend an excess amount of money in order to eat healthy. Anyone who tells you that is selling you something. You are going to spend money anyway on food. And you will be for the rest of your life. That will never ever change. It’s a fixed cost of being a human.
No, I’m not. Just add up the cost. And let that sink in. Your buying sugar water and chemicals which cause you to get sick and gain weight all for the pleasure of taste on the tongue? American’s need Coke and Pepsi like a crack addict needs its next fix.
But I NEED it”.
No. You don't need it. Your fat needs it. Fight back friends.
You are afraid to look at what you’re really doing, you’re comfortable
Lack of education No Support
5. "Ya but, you don't know MY situation"
Then, every single time, you stand back and take inventory of yourself. And the hate talk begins. “Remember last year? You did it for like a week, you really think you’ll do it this time?”
“Look how fat you are. You got like 100lbs to lose, you’ve tried 100 times and failed every time”
“Every diet you try fails anyway, none of this shit works so why even bother?”
“You know your doctor said you’ll never be like before, stop trying”
2016 isn't the year of resolutions
It's the year of the Fighter
Be Your Own Hero
Ideas are scary, they come into this world ugly and messy. Ideas are frightening because they threaten what is known. They are the natural born enemy of the way things are.
Believing doesn’t say “if”. Believing doesn’t say “but”.
To believe is the beginning of what could be. It can start as an idea, a picture in your mind, or a hope of what could be. Believing doesn’t say “if”. Believing doesn’t say “but”.
Believing, is an absolute; and you either do, or you don’t.
It is not something you can will yourself into, or push yourself to. Believing pulls you and drives you.
Are you ready?"
Is it that you need to know the means, or the end? I want you to know the end. I want you to believe it’s possible for you. YOU have to believe it’s possible, but you need to be ready.
When you believe in something so great and so deep inside of you, when it consumes your time, your thoughts and your days… you’re preparing.
When you are ready, the means don’t matter. Only the end matters. When you are ready, you’ll claw and dig and fight your way out to save your own life and rebuild it.
If it was easy everybody would do it
Less than 5% of the American population has a six pack.
Do they all WANT fabulous abs? Let’s assume most do for our story. Why doesn’t everyone have “fabulous abs”?
Because it’s hard.
And if you’re reading this thinking anything like “…ya but…if….” Then I refer you to the top of this page again.
It’s hard because YOU have to believe it for yourself first before anyone else can ever see. The need for change needs to be so strong that it burns your soul. And you need to be ready.
See your goal and then fight for it, regardless of what’s in your way.
If that process was easy, everyone would do it.
But they don’t.
You can’t be that person. YOU have to decide.
It all starts out with an idea. A dream. A vision. Find yours and replay it over and over again. Make it a reality for you, but first…believe.
Believe it’s possible.
Water, Sugar, Palm Oil, Corn Syrup, Sodium Caseinate, Dipotassium, Phosate, Mono and Diglycerides, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Carrageenan
Que the scene: It’s about 7am, the early morning sun is draping in through the windows onto your white satin sheets, with you in them, tucked in tightly. You awakw to the sounds and shuffles of your children brushing teeth and getting dressed. As you rise and throw on your cloth robe and slippers, the deep rich aroma of coffee hits your nostrils. The husband must have made coffee, because he loves you. Making your way down the spotless spiral staircase, you see your loving overly handsome husband in his work suit and a cup of coffee with the perfect amount of froth on top…and on the counter you see the Coffee Brand X and its creamer and you smile….
Que reality: It’s about 6am and its still dark outside, and the blankets are on the floor. After rolling over and checking Facebook and the news you drag your flabby self up and into the bathroom, in the background sounds of the kids fighting over who’s turn it is to do the dishes. You grab whatever isn’t dirty and make your way past the mine fields of legos, dog toys and random articles of clothing. The husband is throwing a bagel in his mouth and tells you there’s still some hot coffee on the pot as he runs out the door.
So if the advertising associated with said products aren’t true to life... doesn’t that set a precedence for their product quality also?
So if the advertising associated with said products aren’t true to life... doesn’t that set a precedence for their product quality also? Instead of Folgers in your cup with blue birds singing, your drinking poison. And you’re doing it every single day, just like millions of other American’s.
But it’s just coffee right?
According to Statisticbrain.com, 62% of coffee drinkers use creamer…. If your one of that 62%, keep reading. And if you’re not, keep reading anyway and learn something!
Annual creamer sales top 3 billion. 3 billion with CoffeeMate owning the majority, with International Delight a far second.
- Palm Oil- destroys our rain forests, not easily digested- causes muscle pain
- Corn Syrup- highly refined sugar syrup, addictive, feeds inflammation and headaches
- Sodium Caseinate- isolated milk protein causing gastrointestinal problems
- Dipotassium Phosphate- thickening agent, creates negative neuro responses
- Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate- creates an immune response such as swelling, mucus
- Carrageenan- preservative, neurotoxic chemical depletes your oxygen
Some people I have worked with are so sensitive to these poisons they complain of headaches, muscle and neck pain, and overall pain within minutes of consuming. Granted the majority of American’s wont experience symptoms, which really is a faux; because whether you feel it or not, there are negative impacts on your body. Most creamers contain a litany of known toxic ingredients. And Sherlock, have you figured out what it hasn’t got?
Okay, so you’re off the flavored creamer band wagon. I’ve ruined it for you. Well, have no fear reading friends… I’m going to further disappointment you. You might be saying to yourself, "I'll just take my sassy self to the store and buy some Half & Half" but….
Nearly all conventional Half & Half is loaded with Mono and Diglycerides. Don't take MY word for it, go look at the label.
People with auto immune related diseases typically experience head, neck and muscle pain after consuming diglycerides, but the symptoms are exasperated when mixed with caffeine on an empty stomach.
Coffees with a higher caffeine content mixed with these toxins can sometimes cause experiences such as shakiness and the “jitters” which is an unhealthy high by any stretch of the imagination.
Monoglycerides and diglycerides
Monoglycerides and diglycerides are food additives commonly used to combine ingredients containing fats with those containing water, two types of ingredients that don't ordinarily combine well. Food manufacturers typically use them to extend a product's shelf life. Made in part of fatty acids, they are similar to triglycerides, the predominant fat in food according to the Harvard School of Public Health, except they are classified as emulsifiers rather than lipids. -
Trans fats from animal, vegetable, or man-made sources can increase the risk for numerous diseases.
According to registered dietitian Mary Beth Sodus of the University of Maryland Medial Center, trans fats have been associated with increased risk of numerous diseases, including heart disease, stroke and diabetes. They promote inflammation and obesity; raise LDL, or bad, cholesterol levels; and lower HDL, or good, cholesterol levels. Made up in part of fatty acids, mono- and diglycerides may contain trans fats, either when manufactured in a lab or, if they come from an animal or vegetable source, when exposed to heat for processing into packaged and prepared foods.”

- Buy unflavored, organic coffee (more on that in another story)
- Reduce your sugar intake a little per cup until you require no sugar
- READ THE LABEL on your creamer of choice. Eat2Live2Love refers all it’s members to try Organic Valley Half & Half or, for a richer cream (and more fattening) try Organic Valley Heavy Whipping Cream. Neither of these have mono and diglycerides. Just milk and cream from grass fed cows and can easily be found at most grocery stores.
